Heinkel He 111

Eigenbau - 1/32

The model of the Heinkel 111 was constructed in the early '70's and I had to make a change to the upper engine nacelles. They need to have air exit doors added! Most modelers today are spoiled by exceptional kits and the wealth of information both on the internet and published that simply didn't exist back then. I just noticed this error.

This particular plane (wk Nr 3340) is the same one that appears in the famous photograph over the London's Isle of Dogs on September 15, 1940. 40% damaged and forced landing in Belgium. Two crew killed. The challenge was tracking down its history. Probably constructed in Oranienburg.
