Blue Max 1/48 F2B 'Empire Brisfits' decal sheet [BMD4801] - price £9.00
A brand new decal range covering WWI subjects. First release features five colourful Bristol Fighter F2B Mk.II options in post WWI service around the British Empire. Options include D8036/H of 5 Sqn at Quetta, India 1924; D4686 of 6 Sqn at Mosel, Iraq 1929; F-4392 at Aboukir, Egypt 1926 (with black and gold winged 'B' emblem); F4688 of 24 Sqn in experimental colours with red stripe down fuselage at RAF Kenley, England 1924 and D7812 of 13 (Army Co-operation) Sqn, also at Kenley in 1924.

Includes upper and lower wing roundels to complete two models (fuselage roundels and rudder stripes are supplied for all five options). For use with the Roden or Eduard kit (reboxed recently by Revell). Some minor modifications are needed to base kits to convert to a Mk.II, are described on instruction sheet. This is an A5 sheet printed by Fantasy Printshop, limiited to 250 sets only.

It is a partnership of Adalbertus owner Wojtek Bulhak and professional 3D model designer Marcin Ciepierski. Marcin was involved in Adalbertus and Attack Squadron products design since beginning. Partnership was started to produce highest quality resin kits printed from 3D design.

All production lines are continued under their brand names. Arma Hobby will be also a brand name for new model kit series planned for next year. Discontinued are all distribution lines. Company focuses on own product sales and marketing only.

Some latest news from DACO Products.

Most of you will know it already, but for those who missed it: During the IPMS UK show at Telford two weeks ago I've been selling the first 100 pre-production boxes of the 1/48 Starfighter Improvement Set. They were a big success as I returned home with only three boxes.

I asked the tooling company if they had done more sprues by any chance and today I received the negative news they don't have any remaining for the moment. I'm still working on getting the box art and instructions done, but normally these kits should appear on the street in March latest.

Beside these boxes, I'm also selling the sprues A (with the wings) and sprues D (with the pylon fuel tanks) at this moment by normal orders. Prices are 12.50 euro per sprue, 11.25 euro above 5 sprues and 10.00 euro above 10 sprues.

For the F-16 fans, I've released also a revised version of my vinyl F-16 Reinforcement Plates. More items have been added on these sheets and now also 1/32 is available.

Nach dem Erscheinen des neuen MENG Bausatzes des Renault FT 17 haben wir uns dafür entschieden, unsere inzwischen über 15 Jahre alten Zubehörartikel für das RPM / Techmod Plastikmodell des FT 17 passend für den MENG Bausatz zu überarbeiten.

Die MR Models Türme und Bauteile sind maßstäblich korrekt, in der Detaillierung immer noch absolut zeitgemäß und können nun für den MENG Bausatz problemlos verwendet werden. Wir haben die MR Models Türme und Modellteile überarbeitet und die Umbausätze inhaltlich neu zusammengestellt. Als Neuheit bringen wir zusätzlich den Aufbau für den TSF Funkpanzer heraus. Am 26.Oktober von 14-16 Uhr findet auf dem Gelände des Museums Alliierte in Berlin (AiB) Kurt-Schumacher Damm 42-44, 13405 Berlin (nähe Kurt-Schumacher- Platz) In Jugendbasteln zum der Tag des Modellbaus statt.

Hier können Jugendliche ab 10 Jahren unter Anleitung von erfahrenen Modellbauern lernen, mit eigenen Händen ein Kunstoffmodell zusammen zu bauen. Dabei soll ihnen die gesamte Bandbreite dieses zum Teil auch immer noch preiswerten Hobbys nahegebracht werden. Allen Vorurteilen zum Trotz, soll vor allem auch vermittelt werden, welche Fingerfertigkeiten und Kreativität aus diesem Hobby entstehen können; ob im militärischen Bereich oder im zivilen, ob in der Architektur oder bei der Gestaltung von historischen Figuren. Mit jedem dieser Modelle ist ein Stück Historie und Geschichte verbunden.

Lebendiges lernen gemeinsam mit der I.P.M.S. Deutschland e.V. (Landesgruppe Berlin), Verein der Alliierten in Berlin (AiB) und RAG Modellbau Landesgruppe Berlin der Reservisten im VdRBw e.V.

The story of the kit is hand-to-hand combat between Soviet Marines and German Infantry and the kit makes it possible to assemble 3 figures of Soviet Marines and 2 figures of German Infantrymen. The poses of the figures are very naturalistic and dynamic. The scale is 1/35.

We would like to remind that 35152 "Soviet Marines and German Infantry, Hand-to-hand Combat, 1941-1942. Eastern Front Battle Series, Kit No. 2" makes up a story whole with 35153 "Soviet Marines, Attack, 1941-1942. Eastern Front Battle Series, Kit No. 3" and 35102 "German Infantry Defense, Eastern Front Battle Series, Kit No. 1" kits that makes it possible to make both a single big diorama and separate vignettes.

B-25 Factory Times is a compelling and most readable testimony to the incredible contribution made by the men and women of North American Aviation Inc. during World War Two, according to James Kindelberger Graham in his preface in this book. This American leading aircraft manufacturer was led by his grandfather, the famed aviation pioneer and inspiring leader James Howard "Dutch" Kindelberger.

A completely new book about the production of the North American B-25 Mitchell. The B-25 is a medium bomber of the Second World War and was used in large numbers. The B-25 was still in use until long after the war. This airplane was in service with many countries, has seen almost every corner of the world and is one of the most famous bombers from that period. Nevertheless, very little has been published about the factories where the B-25 was produced and the manufacturing process itself.

Never before in this way has attention been paid to the manufacturing of one of the world's most well-known airplanes. Supported by many photographs, this book gives a picture of the origin and history of the factories and the assembly of the airplanes. It shows how many thousands of workers daily worked at the plants assembling this famous plane. They were the unsung heroes and without them a victory at the front would not have been possible. Among them were also many women who, owing to the high labour demand, went to work in the factories in increasing numbers. In addition, the book gives a brief overview of the countries where the B-25 has been in service, as well as other relevant facts relating to the production of this airplane.

Am Himmel Frankreichs - Die Geschichte des JG 2 "Richthofen"
(Band 2: 1940 - 1941)

Knapp ein Jahr nach Erscheinen von Band 1 der Chronik des JG 2 "Richthofen", der bei den ehemaligen Geschwader-Angehörigen und ihren Familien ein wohlwollendes Echo gefunden hat und der auch in verschiedenen Fachzeitschriften sehr positiv gewürdigt wurde, freue ich mich, Ihnen nunmehr Band 2 dieser Chronik vorlegen zu können. Er umfasst die Zeit von Sommer und Herbst 1940 mit ihren heftigen Kämpfen, die unter dem Namen "Luftschlacht um England" in die Geschichte eingegangen sind und an denen das JG 2 mit großen Erfolgen, aber auch schweren Verlusten beteiligt war, bis zum eisigen Winter 1940/41, der dem Richthofen-Geschwader vor den neuen Herausforderungen des Jahres 1941 eine wohlverdiente Atempause gewährte.

Die Übersetzung aus dem Französischen und die deutsche Bearbeitung lagen auch diesmal wieder in den Händen von Hans G. Berger, einem ehemaligen Staffelkapitän im JG 1 und freiberuflichen Übersetzer für Technik und Recht.

Ich bin sicher, dass auch das neue Werk wieder reges Interesse finden wird.

I got some bad and some good news to tell in this DACO's newsletter

First the bad news: The English version of the "Uncovering the Lockheed (T)F-104G Starfighter" book, released last year October, is now sold out... I've got a handful remaining, but I'm going to keep these till Amazon prices hit the roof :-)

BUT the good news is that I've reprinted it! It's a slightly improved version, some captions have been adjusted, a few pictures have been exchanged with better ones and some small errors in the drawings have been adjusted.

So if you still haven't got the first print run version on your desk, than go now for the second one ! If you got the first one and you are wondering if it's worth to have the second one too, it depends how fanatic you are about the Starfighter. If you need every book about the Starfighter in your personal library, then go for it. Otherwise the changes are not that significant to make the first publication obsolete...

I received recently also the second test shots of the Starfighter Improvement Set for the 1/48 Hasegawa F-104 kits. Although many points have been improved since the first test shots, some are still remaining (like they didn't thought I would see that :-) ). So a short list of things-to-adjust still remain before this set can get a green light for production. I'll add previews of these sprues later next week.

September 7th is once more the anniversary day of DACO Products, not yet the big one - next year it will be 25 years ! - but with a soon to come house move from the centre of Antwerp towards one of the more quite outside villages around Antwerp, I'll be giving 15 to 20% discount on all orders done from now till September 10th. One of the future projects we are working on are highly detailed and very accurate resin casted BOMBS, in various scales, time frames and countries. A first batch of various versions will be available in a few months, probably at IPMS UK Telford.

Wie sieht nun der Ablauf aus: Am Freitag Nachmittag (ab 15:00) kann bereits mit dem Aufbau auf dem Gelände begonnen werden. Ein Vertreter der ausrichtenden Vereine wird euch in Empfang nehmen und einen Platz zuweisen. Händler entrichten bitte die Standmiete (20? pausch.) dann direkt. Falls Strom benötigt wird und mehrere Stromabnehmer angeschlossen werden sollen, wäre es schön, wenn Mehrfachsteckdosen und Verlängerungen mitgebracht werden. Es sind zwar Stromanschlüsse vorhanden, doch so sind wir auf der sicheren Seite. Wer sich zusätzlich mit Ausstellungstischen selbst ausstattet, ist dann auch nicht auf die Verfügbarkeit von Tischen, die durch uns bereitgestellt werden, angewiesen.

Am Samstag ist dann ab 08:00 Einlaß für Händler und Vereine, damit der finale Aufbau vorgenommen werden kann. Parkplätze sind direkt auf dem Gelände vorhanden. Abbau erfolgt dann nach freiem Ermessen, sollte aber nicht vor 16:00 begonnen werden. Im Eintrittspreis für zahlende Besucher ist der Museumsbesuch inklusive. Aussteller haben freien Zutritt zum Museum.

Für konstruktive Kritik sind wir sehr empfänglich. Nur so können wir für zukünftige Veranstaltungen, gemachte Fehler vermeiden. Scheut euch also nicht uns dann zu kontaktieren. Diese Veranstaltung lebt natürlich von den Besuchern und der Gemeinschaft der Modellbaufreunde.

Noch mehr Panzerbausätze mit World of Tanks Game

Gute Nachrichten für Modellbauer und Online-Gamer: Mit dem M4A1 Sherman, dem Cromwell Mk. IV und dem StuG 40 Ausf. G erweitert Revell die Anzahl an ausgewählten* Bausätzen von 2. WK Panzern, denen das beliebte Computerspiel "World of Tanks" als DVD beiliegt. Mittlerweile spielen über 60 Millionen User weltweit regelmäßig "World of Tanks". Die Aktion ist Bestandteil der im Dezember 2012 gestarteten Kooperation mit dem Spieleentwickler und -publisher Wargaming.net. Das Massive-Multiplayer-Online (MMO)-Game widmet sich den Panzerwagen Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Mit "World of Tanks" hat Wargaming.net ein MMO Action Game auf den Markt gebracht, das sich allerdings nicht auf dieses Genre allein beschränkt. Es bietet dem Spieler eine Mischung der unterschiedlichsten Spielekategorien an: Rollenspiel, Simulation, Action, Shooter und Strategie.

Viele der Panzer, die in den Battles eingesetzt werden können, hat auch Revell in seinem Sortiment. Insgesamt wird das Spiel nun 18 verschiedenen Bausätzen beigelegt. • Die Neuheitenliste wurde um die neuen Artikel aus dem Zvezda Katalog ergänzt. Vieles ist in der "Art of Tactic" table top Wargaming-Reihe angesiedelt, aber das meiste ist davon in gängigen Maßstäben, so dass sich ein Blick lohnt. Endlich scheint auch die Su-2 in 48 erscheinen.
  Ebenso interessant sind die Disney Lizenzprodukte, die bisher nur in Rußland erschienen sind. Gerüchten von der Messe zufolge, sollen die Rechte jetzt für Europa vorliegen, was "Cars & Planes" in erreichbare Nähe rücken könnte. Auf Nachfrage war Carson nicht an den Reihen (einfache Spritzgussbausätze mit Aufklebern) interessiert, aber vielleicht findet sich ja ein anderer Zweig der Dickie Group, der Interessa hat.
